Confetti

I finally tried the Confetti brand nail polish. You can get it at CVS for $1.99. They have a decent variety of colors. The application is smooth and I dried fairly quickly. The color I have on below is "Masquerade Ball." I also picked up "Belle of the Ball" which is a great dupe for OPI's "Do You Lilac It?"

OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender

This is my current manicure fro OPI's Hong Kong Collection. It is called "Lucky Lucky Lavender." It is a creamy lavender shade. It looks slightly streaky with one coat, but after two coats it looks nice and even. The quality on this one is great. It resists chipping for several days and stay fairly shiny even without a topcoat.

Black and Blue

So I decided to finally use one of the polishes I had not used yet. I bought "Nail Junkie" from Sinful Colors which is a blue glitter because people kept saying how much they like it. I only use the glitters from Sinful Colors as top coats because they are too sheer otherwise. I used "Liquid Vinyl" from Orly as the base color (it's a basic black creme) and then I put the glitter on top. I think it looks really nice together. I think the glitter would also be great on top of a turquoise color as well!

Sinful Colors "Cream Pink"

This seems to be one of the most popular colors from the Sinful Colors line. You can see why though because it is a bright neon pink. It dries with a bit of a matte finish, so I always add a top coat. This is two coats and it is just one of my favorite bright pinks!

Sinful Colors "Soul Mate"

This is a dusty pink from Sinful Colors called Soul Mate. It is a more toned down pink than most. I love the application, but the color isn't greatly flattering on my fair skin tone. I think it would look better on darker skin, but it is a good neutral alternative to hot pink. These sell at Walgreens for $1.99!

Thanksgiving Pedicure

I decided to do my toes this evening but didn't feel like spending a ton of time on them. So here are the results. The green color is San Fransisco by Sinful Colors. It takes 3 coats to get the bottle color but it is a great emerald green shade! I just used Liquid Vinyl by Orly and Super Star by Pure Ice for the art. Enjoy!

China Glaze Awakening

This year for Halloween, China Glaze came out with their "Awakening" collection. I did not get any of them when they came out, but instead waited till they went on clearance after the fact because I am cheap! I have fallen in love with them. My favorite by far is Zombie Zest. It is truly the grossest shade of sewage green, but when you go in the light it is gorgeous. It is a truly unique color that I have nothing like. The photos don't do it justice. When I wear it next I will try to capture a better photo.

The colors from left to right: Zombie Zest, Mummy May I, and Ick-A-Bod-y
I got them a little out of order. Left to right: Zombie Zest is a sewage green with gold micro shimmer. The more coats, the more green it appears. Ick-A-Bod-y is a green jelly base with very chunky rusty orange glitter. This needs a thick top coat afterwards if you do not like the rough texture it leaves. Mummy May I is a deep deep purple, almost black, with purple glitter in it. This dries a lot shinier than the orange. The truly look much better in person, and I will try to post better pictures soon! Check out some of the other nail blogs I have on the side to see some other swatches.

Current Manicure

Below is the current manicure I am wearing. The main color is mint apple from Sinful colors, and the nail art was done using a dotting tool and white nail polish in Super Star from Pure Ice.

This was using three coats of Mint Apple, as it can be sheer when applied. Essie 3-way Glaze was also used as a top coat.

Hello All!

This is my first post and I have a great nail polish brand to tell you about! I recently started picking up Sinful Colors Professional from Walgreens. They sell for $1.99 each and are fabulous! This first picture is the collection I have so far.

The glitter polishes are clear with very chunky glitter making great top coats. In order from left to right: Queen of Beauty, Nail Junkie, Frenzy, and All About You.

Some great pinks and reds which are very pigmented. Left to right: Soul Mate, Cream Pink (has shimmer), Boom Boom (cream with no shimmer), and Sugar Sugar.

And finally, from left to right: Cloud 9 (orange shimmer), Let's Talk, Mint Apple, and San Fransisco.

I also use their basecoat as my go to base coat and it works great at smoothing out the nail surface and keeping polish from chipping. I use a base and top coat and can wear this nail polish for a week without it chipping!
